The Center for Health Education is a national, not-for-profit, consumer organization that provides research, education, and advocacy on health and environmental issues. Current initiatives include personal diet/nutrition, food safety, and landfill risks. We have an immediate need for a marketing professional at our national headquarters.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include the development and coordination of all media and marketing communications for the agency. You will plan and implement national awareness campaigns through direct marketing, media relations, advertising, and special event promotions. You will write and/or edit news releases and feature stories, member newsletters, educational brochures, speeches and presentations, direct mail flyers, and persuasive correspondence. You also will coordinate all electronic and print media requests for interviews and serve as a consultant in all fund-raising campaigns.
Candidates for this position must have at least seven years experience in a similar management position plus a Bachelor's degree. Your background in the health care, environmental or related non-profit organization is a plus. Established media contacts beneficial. Must have the ability to work in a team-focused environment.
